I have a real soft spot for vintage greetings cards and am always on the hunt for them when in antique shops. Their illustrations are just so cute and filled with so much joy and fun. My dream would be to amas a large collection of them and turn them into collages that I would frame and hang all over my apartment. I have yet to start this collection though because the cards I find are usually pretty expensive and would cost a ton for the purpose I want them for. Heres to hoping that I find a big box of them at an estate sale for 5 bucks. I am constantly looking though and found so many great cards on pinterest. Below are some of my favorites.

Happy Monday,
I am definitely over seeing girls with ombre hair. You know the coppery shade that so many girls have had the last couple years. It is just to trendy for me. I do however, love ombre pastel shades. That I can not get enough of and pinterest has so much amazing hair eye candy to look at. I must admit that I am not daring enough to try this trend because it would require me to bleach my dark hair first. But if I already had blonde hair I would totally go for this look. I think I would probably dye my hair a light baby pink which is my favorite look now. What I love most about pastel hair is the way it makes me feel when I see it. The colors remind me of sherbet, cotton candy, ice cream, carnivals, bubbles, unicorns, fairy tales and my little pony. It just makes me feel really happy because it is so girly and child like. Below are some of my favorites but click on my board to see many other styles.

After browsing pinterest, I see that I am lacking something very important in my kitchen, vintage dish towels. The dish towels that I have now are quite boring. Just a basic blue and green that I keep hidden in a drawer until I need to wipe off a pot. I think it would be great to add some vintage towels because they have so many different patterns and designs. I love how kitschy and cute they are and I think they would make wiping off wet dishes a little more bearable. They would look great hung from my stove during the day when not in use. I think they would also look great framed gallery style decorating my kitchen walls. Below are some of my favorites and click on my pinterest board to see more great designs.

Lately I have been super inspired by all of this DIY nail art I see all over instagram, twitter, and pinterest. I love how so many people take the time to turn their nails into little canvases of art. It is such a fun way to express yourself and a great accessory to an outfit. Even though my talents are mostly in jewelry design they are by no means in nail art. My DIY manicures are pretty simple. The craziest I have gone was painting each nail a different color. I do not have a steady hand for drawing crazy designs like my niece Audrey who is amazing. And she only just finished the ninth grade. I do have a signature manicure though that I give myself and get lots of compliments on. Expect to see a DIY post on that later this week. Until then, here are my favorite nails on Pinterest that I must force myself to try soon.

One of my favorite things to do besides decorate is organize. But the two really go hand in hand because I want my organization to not only be practical but also attractive looking. I must say my organizational skills drive Craig a bit crazy because I am constantly on the hunt for things. In my defense though, he gets to enjoy my crazy since we share this apartment and he usually likes my ideas in the end. I was doing a little searching on pinterest the other day to get some organizational/interior decorating ideas for our new home. Even though we have been in Austin almost three months we are stilling making changes to our apt and i am loving the way it is coming together. I can’t wait to post about all the different rooms soon. Anyways below are some of my favorite ways of organizing with vintage elements. I hope it inspires you to continue making changes to your happy homes.

would hang this vintage coke crate on the wall to house my collection of vintage animal figurines

I think I have said this many times before but I love Pinterest!. It is like a giant on line inspiration book that is broken up into categories boards so easily for you. I always create boards for my collage posts because it keeps everything I need organized and with links as well for purchase. Such a life saver for a blogger. Pinterest is also such a great alternative to google. I find so much inspiration in it whenever i use their search board. I thought it would be fun to start a series on the blog of my pinterest inspirations and ideas. When I searched jewelry organization so many pins came up with such thoughtful ideas. I am really feeling motivated to clean up and organize the jewelry in my closet.
