So I know it is only a few months before we officially move into our new house, but one room I can not wait to decorate is my home office. I love having my own space that I can make as girly as I see fit. A room where I work on my blog and my jewelry designs and gain inspiration from all four walls. I am planning on painting the room a light light cotton candy pink. Placing some white or maybe gold shelves on the walls to house my vintage lady head vases and pink and green depression glass collections. And the rest of the wall space will be filled with framed pictures of vintage pin-ups and old hollywood actresses. I love how beautiful women looked in the 40′s, 50′s, and 60′s. Always glamourous and feminine with the perfect outfits and matching hair and makeup. I gain so much inspiration while I work being surrounding by these elegant women. With Christmas fast approaching I wanted to share some favorite holiday style vintage pin ups that I found on pinterest. My favorite being this iconic Betty Paige pic that I believe found its way into Playboy.
I have the same pin up at home and I don’t know why but it always reminds me of my Nana’s face. Maybe she was the model and never told me!
Would make the cutest holiday card.
I love to collect vintage pin up calenders and books and them frame my favorites. Such an easy way to add some art to your home.
Love everything about her outfit, especially the shoes, prefect for tree trimming.
Dita as Mrs. Claus.
I will always be a fan of Betty and Veronica, and again those shoes i mean come on.
Toy’s make every one happy.
I don’t think she will fit in the bag santa!
Santa’s little blonde helpers.
Must trim the tree next year with a neglige and faux fur stole.
And to all a good night.

I have been having a love affair with watches for as long as I can remember. I guess you would say I am quite promiscuous because I can’t stick to wearing only one watch. My Dad collects vintage gold watches and he passed the gene down to me because year after year I add new watches to my own personal collection. I went through a serious Michael Kors watch phase for a couple years and have three of his watches, all oversized mens style. They are classic time pieces that I will wear forever. Lately I have been coveting smaller more feminine watches and Craig bought me a Marc By Marc Jacobs Dinky watch for an early Christmas gift. I have been wearing it none stop and it weighs next to nothing. The Dinky comes in a few different styles and would make a great holiday gift. I chose the rose gold one with a blue face because it seemed the most wearable and very lady like.
I am loving these watches as well all Marc By Marc Jacobs

I think you know by now that I am obsessed with all things cat related. I love my own two guys Rocco and Rufus, stray cats, cat eyes, cat prints, and the list goes on. Surprisingly enough I don’t have many cat inspired items in my wardrobe. I rectified this last week when I found a cat tee shirt playing the turn tables on sale for five dollars at Target. After taking the first bite so to speak this recent purchase won’t be my last.

It is really starting to feel like the holiday season in Austin. Usually it is sunny and in the 80′s this time of year but a cold front came in this weekend and it has been rainy and in the mid 30′s. I am not complaining though. I bought a new pair of boots yesterday to brave this cold and they are very comfortable. With Thanksgiving only three days away, now really is the best time to reflect on everything we are thankful for. My top three would be our first home that we are building, my husband, and our two cats. I love the little family that we have, just the four of us and am so excited to be moving into a house that is all ours. Rocco and Rufus have really been the greatest gift I have ever received and I know this sounds corny but having these two kitties around makes life so much more special. Cat’s seem to have a bad rep thanks to these guys but our boys are sweet, funny, loving, and very playful. You do have to work for their love at first but once you prove yourself they are all yours. Or rather you are all theirs.
I love how cats eyes always seem to change color
Cat eyes have become a staple in my beauty routine. My favorite look is pink shadow with a black cat eye and a red lip.
Must try this manicure it is too cute especially the cat and tail nail!
Anne looks stunning as cat woman
The perfect ornament for your tree
Will definitely be trying a smokey cat eye and need to find some cat ears too.
This cat print is amazing. Love the sunnies too!
Possibly one of the worlds most notorious cats.
Definitely going to buy this clock in pink for my home office. Love the vintage feel.

Stay tuned for a cat gift guide post on Thanksgiving.

The mild winters in Austin are incredible, but good boot weather it does not make. I’m jealous because mine just sit in the back of the closet crying our for attention. Some boots may be a bitch to break in, but they’ll show you some love for many years to come. They may be more expensive than shoes, but fear not, they’re worth it. As Lauren likes to utter during my boot buyers’ remorse, “CRAIG, THINK ABOUT THE CPW (cost per wear)”. Boots are often made of the toughest leather, with stitched soles and far more badass than normal shoes. For instance, compare brogues and brogue boots, one’s conservative and one’s dapper. Wanna channel your inner Punk, lace up some steel toe Doc’s. Wanna channel your inner Mod, slip on some smooth Chelsea boots. Free advice: don’t restrict yourself to browns and blacks… reds, greens and blues are just as acceptable. They may feel crazy at first, but if your wardrobe consists of muted tones, they’ll be the perfect pop of color. I learned a long time ago that left field colors go with everything, because they don’t match anything. Check out my Pinterest board for even more boot options.

I think it is safe to say that 98 percent of the time you can find me in leopard print, I just love it. And day after day month after month these shoes keep my feet company. I found them last year at TJ Maxx for around 39 dollars a great score since they are over 100 dollars on line. They have seen better days since I constantly wear them but I can’t help it they are perfect. I love the pony hair leopard print and the tiny gold studs that decorate the toes. I like to pretend I am Audrey or Marilyn in the 1960′s when I wear them with a pair of cropped leggings and black dress. Leopard print is a classic and staple in my wardrobe and I don’t see it going out of style ever. Next on my radar is a leopard print coat since my vintage one is falling apart. We are going to be spending Christmas in New York City and I would love to beat the cold in something stylish. Find some other of my favorite leopard accessories below.
